Joshua Taylor Drake, age 24 of Leitchfield, passed away Monday, April 29, 2024, at University of Louisville Hospital. He was born on December 14, 1999, in Elizabethtown the son of Michael “Shane” Drake, Sr.
Joshua was, first and foremost, a dad. He always put his sons first in everything he did. He was a hard worker and in his free time he liked dirt bikes and the outdoors.
Aside from his Dad, Joshua is survived by his companion, Shelby Dennis; his two sons, Silas Wayne and Jace Taylor Drake; four siblings, Michael Shane Drake, Jr. (Emily), Chandler Johnson, Destinee Moffett and Cameron Moffett; one uncle, Jeremy Drake (Kristy); four aunts, Kellie Hodge, Jennifer Johnson, Ryan Morrison and Megan Hazelwood; nieces and nephews, Bralynn Harrell, Layla and Jaxson Drake, Parker, Colston, Hudson, Haden and Remi; and his best friends, Jacob Clark, Kenneth, Sunshine, Clay, and Garret.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Wendell Drake.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Leitchfield Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Friday and again from 9:00 am until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
