Katherine Marie Spencer, age 87 of Big Clifty, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at her residence. She was born on March 1, 1937, in Sonora, Kentucky the son of the late William Homer and Lucille Hays Kinkade.
Katherine was a member of Mt. Zion Christian Church. She was very kind hearted and never raised her voice. Katherine’s greatest joy was taking care of her family.
Left to honor Katherine’s memory are her children, Beverly Miller, Marilyn Sue Beeler, Jeanette Darnall (Gary), Gloria Shields (Jerry) and Barry Spencer; fourteen grandchildren; thirty-five great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lacy Junior Spencer; one son, Connard Spencer; two grandchildren, Chanda Hudson and Vanessa Stinnett; and five siblings.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Leitchfield Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Poteet officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday and again from 9:00 am until service time at the funeral home.
