Three people have died after what police believe were drug overdoses.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded Tuesday morning at approximately 4:00 to a residence on Elmwood Drive in Richmond and found one person deceased and two people in critical condition.
Pronounced deceased at the home was Ben Masters. Two others, 39-year-old Evonne Hammerle and 47-year-old Sherry Hammerle, according to the sheriff’s office, were transported to a local hospital where they were also pronounced deceased.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office told WYMT.com that the “initial investigation points to drug overdoses.”
The type of drug[s] the three ingested is not yet known, as officials await autopsies and toxicology results.
