Multiple students from Grayson County High School will participate in the Governor’s Scholars Program (GSP) Class of 2024.

GCHS students Houston Brooks, Tate Cain, William Johnston III, and Norea Watson will attend the Governor’s Scholars Program at either Centre College, Morehead State University or Murray State University.

Selected as alternates were Landon Johnson, Caroline Litsey and Amilei Spencer.

The program is for students between their junior and senior year of high school. All selections were made through a highly competitive application process and included competition from students statewide. GSP selections were based on academics, extracurricular activities, community service, recommendations, and a written essay.

Established in 1983, GSP provides academic and personal growth through a five-week residential experience that strives to develop Kentucky’s next generation of civic and economic leaders.
