An investigation into contraband being introduced into the Warren Regional Juvenile Detention Center has resulted in the arrest of a Leitchfield man.
The Kentucky State Police investigation began on December 3, 2023, when detention center officials alerted police regarding a contraband cellphone found inside the facility.
The lengthy investigation resulted in the arrest on Tuesday of 56-year-old Jose A. Soto, an employee at the detention facility.
He was charged with first-degree promoting contraband, a class D felony, and lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail.
