Motorists traveling on the Western Kentucky Parkway should expect lane closures this week.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) said the closures are due to “work to replace deck joint seals.”
“Lane closures will be in effect at night this week along Western Kentucky Parkway over I-65 in Hardin County,” according to KYTC District Four spokesman Chris Jessie.
- On Tuesday evening beginning at 8:00 local time, the outside (right) lanes will be closed in both directions. Ramps to and from I-65 will remain open, but ramp traffic will be impacted.
- On Wednesday, the inside (left) lanes will be closed in both directions beginning at 8:00 p.m.
Work each night will be finished and all lanes open by 7:00 a.m. the next morning, Jessie said. If additional time is needed to complete seal replacement the work will take place Thursday night.
“Motorists should slow down, minimize distractions and pay close attention to work zone directions,” Jessie urged.
