One man is dead and another charged with his murder in Hardin County.
Derrick Franks, 36, of Radcliff, was shot and killed Sunday morning just before 11:00 in the 5000 block of North Dixie Highway, according to a report by The News Enterprise. Franks was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office quickly identified the suspect as 25-year-old Cruz Carlos Frescas, of Shepherdsville. The investigation first led detectives from Hardin County to Bullitt County and then to Shelby County where Frescas was arrested and lodged Monday morning.
He is awaiting extradition to Hardin County.
The Shelby County Detention Center lists the suspect’s name as Frescas Carlos Cruz.
