If traveling on the Western Kentucky Parkway this week and into next week there will be lane closures as officials inspect the Green River Bridge.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet said an inspection of the bridge at the Ohio/Muhlenberg County line will take place beginning on Monday.
Officials said the eastbound right lane will be closed at the bridge between Monday and Thursday.
On Friday, the inspection team will move to the westbound parkway, resulting in a lane closure.
The bridge opened to traffic in 1963.
