A Woodford County man has been jailed after stabbing his father.
The Versailles Police Department responded Saturday morning at 8:30 to the 1200 block of Jones Lane on the report of a stabbing.
Upon arriving at the scene, police determined 49-year-old William E. Taylor, of Versailles, attempted to kill his father by stabbing him with a kitchen knife. The suspect told police, according to LEX18, that he had “stabbed and killed his father.”
The victim was transported to University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
Taylor was charged with attempted murder and first-degree assault (domestic violence). He was lodged in the Woodford County Detention Center on a $250,000 cash bond.
