BlueOval SK plant in Glendale evacuated after bomb threat

The under construction BlueOval SK plant in Glendale was evacuated Thursday following a bomb threat.

The written threat, found on an inspection sheet inside a porta potty, was found at approximately 12:30 Thursday afternoon, Hardin County Chief Deputy David Lee told news outlets. The note said a bomb would explode at 1:00 p.m.

The site was evacuated as the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office, Kentucky State Police, Louisville Metro Police Department’s K-9 units, and the Ft. Knox Explosive Ordinance Disposal unit arrived at the scene.

No arrests have yet been made. The investigation is ongoing.
