A male suspect has been arrested in Hart County for stabbing a man multiple times.
Hart County Sheriff Jeff Wilson said deputies responded to a domestic disturbance in the 10000 block of North Jackson Highway (Hwy 31-E), about eight miles north of Munfordville, Sunday night at approximately 6:30. While deputies were en route to the scene they learned that a male had been stabbed in his arms, hands and torso.
The stabbing victim, police said, lives next door to where the domestic disturbance occurred.
Further investigation showed that the victim was stabbed by 30-year-old Brandon Trumble, of Magnolia, the male involved in the domestic disturbance.
Trumble fled the scene in a vehicle, as police were initially unable to locate the suspect during a “several hour” search, Wilson said.
On Tuesday, though, police received information that Trumble was traveling in a vehicle on Hwy 357 (Hammonsville Rd.) in Hart County. He was soon located and arrested.
Trumble was charged with first-degree assault and fourth-degree assault and lodged in the Hart Jail.
No information on the stabbing victim’s condition was released.
