A Casey County man is facing state and federal charges after being busted with over 60 pounds of drugs.

Roger Mullins, 73, was arrested after a lengthy investigation involving multiple law enforcement agencies, including the DEA, Kentucky State Police, Department of Homeland Security, and Casey County Sheriff’s Office.

The investigation resulted in police executing a search warrant at Mullins’ home late last week.

Casey County Sheriff Chad Weddle told The Casey County News that police seized approximately 50 pounds of methamphetamine, 6.6 pounds of cocaine, four pounds of heroin, marijuana, a 9mm pistol, and approximately $100,000 in cash.

Weddle told the news outlet that Mullins’ arrest represents the biggest methamphetamine bust in Casey County history.

Mullins was charged with three counts of trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine), trafficking in marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He also faces as yet announced federal charges.

He was lodged in the Casey County Detention Center.
