
Two people have died in a house fire in eastern Kentucky.
The Neon Fire Department in Letcher County responded to the blaze in the Jackhorn community Friday night at 10:30, according to WYMT.com.
On Saturday morning, after firefighters extinguished the blaze, the bodies of 78-year-old Mary Alice Adams, of Jackhorn, and 59-year-old Jeffery Sexton, of Whitesburg, were recovered from the burned home.
The bodies were transported to the state Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort for autopsies.
The cause of the fire has not been determined but foul play is not suspected.
