Sun blinds Grayson Co. woman, causing her to leave Beaver Dam Rd.

The sun caused a Grayson County woman to leave Beaver Dam Road.

Monday afternoon at approximately 4:35, Leitchfield Police Department Officers Tamara Jupin and Chuck Hoover and the Leitchfield Fire Department responded to the crash in the 800 block of Beaver Dam Road.

Upon arriving at the scene, police found a westbound Chevrolet Equinox, being driven by Robin Baird, left the road and traveled down a small embankment. The vehicle then flipped onto its side.

Baird, police said, was blinded by the sun and feared she might rear-end another vehicle, resulting in the Chevy leaving the road.

Baird was uninjured.
