Breckinridge Co. man injured, Meade Co. man killed in crossover accident

A Breckinridge County man was injured and a Meade County man killed in a crossover crash.

Kentucky State Police said troopers responded to the crash Monday evening at approximately 6:45 near the 3100 block of Hwy 1692 in Meade County.

Police said the preliminary investigation revealed that 62-year-old Gregory Brown, of Payneville, was driving a Chevrolet Malibu north on Hwy 1692 when his vehicle crossed the center line and into the path of a southbound Ford F-150, being driven by 52-year-old Jeffrey Cox, of Webster.

Cox was transported to University of Louisville Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Brown was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Meade County Coroner’s Office.

The crash remains under investigation by KSP accident reconstructionist, Trooper Scott Wheatley.
