Multiple grenades were found in downtown Greensburg.

According to the Greensburg Police Department, the grenades were found on Tuesday “at a property” at the intersection of East Columbia Avenue and Main Street. A roadway was closed and traffic rerouted “as a precaution until authorities (were) able to determine if the grenade (was) operable or inert and removal (was) able to be done safely,” police said.

The Kentucky State Police Hazardous Devices Unit arrived and gathered and disposed of the grenades.

Police did not release further information.
