An electrical fire heavily damaged a Big Clifty home Tuesday night.

Tuesday night at approximately 9:00, the East Grayson and Clarkson Fire Departments were dispatched to a residential fire in the 1400 block of Morrison Road. Upon arriving, firefighters found fire in a bedroom and bathroom. Firefighters, who battled the blaze for about an hour, contained the fire to those two rooms.

Portions of the home also suffered smoke and water damage.

The outside of the metal-framed home appeared to suffer very little damage.

The fire, East Grayson Fire Chief Keith Shellhart said, began when a circuit was overloaded by a line that was run to a nearby trailer.

Clarkson fire personnel cleared the scene at approximately 10:00 p.m., while East Grayson fire cleared at 10:30 p.m.

No injuries were reported.
