A Leitchfield woman escaped major injuries after hitting a utility pole.
Leitchfield Police Department Officers Chuck Hoover, Tamara Jupin and Hunter Miller, the Leitchfield Fire Department and EMS responded to the 300 block of Grayson Springs Road Sunday night at 7:35 and found that a Honda Fit, being driven by a Leitchfield woman, left the roadway and struck a utility pole.
There were no brake marks at the scene.
The impact pulled a non-electric cable line off a nearby pole, and splintered the utility pole that was hit.
The driver, who initially complained of back and other pain, was evaluated at the scene by EMS. She refused transport to the ER.
