A third suspect is being sought in the murder of a WKU student in July.

Police are looking for Malcolm Jones, 21, in relation to the July 23 murder of 21-year-old Ayanna Morgan, of Savannah, Georgia. Jones is the twin brother of the shooting suspect, Malik Jones, who was arrested for Morgan’s murder in Detroit, Michigan, in October.

The murder investigation began when Morgan was found at approximately 10:10 p.m. the evening of July 23 outside and in the back of the Muse Bowling Green apartment complex in the 1700 block of Russellville Road. Police discovered Morgan while responding to the area on the report of an “assault in progress.”

Two days after the shooting, police arrested 24-year-old Kobee A. Lancaster, of Bowling Green, and charged him with first-degree assault in the case. Lancaster is accused of striking Morgan with a vehicle.

Morgan, who suffered two gunshot wounds, was transported to The Medical Center at Bowling Green before being airlifted to TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, where she died early the next morning.

Anyone with information concerning Malcolm Jones’ location is asked to contact the Bowling Green PD at 270-393-4000.
