A male juvenile jumped off a Hart County bridge following a police chase by the Hodgenville Police Department.

On Monday, Hodgenville officers located a stolen vehicle on South Lincoln Boulevard near Strange Road. When police attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver, a 17-year-old male, fled at speeds reaching 125 miles per hour, according to Hodgenville Police Chief James Richardson.

The vehicle pursuit ended when the vehicle failed to negotiate a curve on Hwy 31-E near the Green River Bridge in Hart County. The juvenile then jumped off the bridge, falling about 40 feet onto the ground, Richardson said.

Officers rendered aid at the scene. The teen, who police said was listed as a missing person, was transported to Baptist Health Hardin.

He faces multiple charges, including two counts of fleeing or evading police (on foot, in motor vehicle), four counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, receiving stolen property, speeding, reckless driving, DUI, and having an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle.

Assisting in the pursuit were Kentucky State Police, The LaRue County Sheriff’s Office and Munfordville Police Department.
