An Oldham County toddler has become the youngest member of Mensa in the U.S.
Isla McNabb, 2, of Crestwood, is now in the Guiness Book of World Records as the youngest member of the non-profit organization reserved for those who score in the 98th percentile on certain standardized IQ tests.
Isla tested in the 99th percentile in 2022 and was just recently included in the Guiness Book of World Records.
In the U.S., American Mensa developed its own examination and does not provide scores comparable to scores on other tests, as it only serves to qualify a person for membership.
International Mensa most often uses the Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scales where an IQ score of 130.8 gains one entry into the organization.
Isla parents, Jason and Amanda McNabb, told the Courier-Journal that they thought their daughter was smart but did not anticipate her becoming the youngest member of American Mensa.
