Troy Daniel Henning, age 58, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Sunday, (November 26, 2023) at his home under hosparus care. He was born on June 23, 1965 in Hardinsburg, KY, the son of Debbie
Robinson-Rodgers and the late Charles Daniel Henning.
Troy was disabled and therefore unable to work. Before he was diagnosed with cancer, he loved to sit at the pond and fish. If you asked him if he had caught anything all day he would just say, “I think I got a bite.” Troy was a very quiet, kind and gentle person. He could be described as a man of few words. He enjoyed playing his guitar, listening to music, watching Gunsmoke and Tales
of Wells Fargo.
He is survived by his half brothers, David Rodgers and Mike Henning; a half-sister, Jamie Ward (Chester); and his mother, Debbie (Jimmy). Several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends also survive.
Other than his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Darrin Henning; grandparents, Joe and Alice Henning, James and Bernice Embry, and Wayne Robinson.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, (December 2, 2023) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Mickey Coates and Bro. Aaron Webb will be officiating. Burial will be in the New Freedom Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
