The cities of Leitchfield and Clarkson are kicking off the Christmas season on Friday night.
The city of Leitchfield will host Light up Leitchfield Friday evening at 5:00 at the Beville Park pavilion.
Santa Claus will of course make an appearance and hear children’s Christmas gift wishes. But before Santa arrives, the Lawler and Wilkey Elementary Schools’ choirs will sing a variety of holiday classics.
Hot chocolate will be available, and attendees can view the over 50 Christmas light displays in the park.
At 6:00 Friday night, Clarkson will host its second annual Christmas in the Park and Tree Lighting celebration.
Santa will arrive at Clarkson City Park on a Clarkson Fire Department fire engine with a police escort. Mr. Claus will then hear the Clarkson children’s gift wishes for Christmas.
Concessions will be available.
