A human skull has been found only a few hundred yards away from the home of a woman who went missing in 2019.
Kentucky State Police told WYMT.com that the human remains were found on Blankenship Road in the Bugtussle area of Monroe County.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office told the news outlet the remains were found near the home of 21-year-old Katie M. Cawthorn, of Fountain Run, who disappeared on October 1, 2019.
The remains have been transported to a forensic lab for testing. The results are not expected for several months.
