A woman has been found dead in a roadside ditch in Bullitt County.
The body of the female was discovered Thursday night at approximately 5:15 by a man riding a bicycle near the Brooks Road intersection with Hwy 1020, WLKY.com reports. The body was located between the roadway and a dense treeline.
Bullitt County Sherif Walt Sholar said investigators believe the woman was killed at another location and then placed on the side of the road.
The woman’s identity has not been released, and her manner of death has not been established.
The body was transported to the state Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.
