An elderly couple in LaRue County has died in a murder-suicide.
The LaRue County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence on Alvin Brooks Road in the Buffalo community to conduct a welfare check, according to The News-Enterprise. Police received no response upon arriving at the home and forced entry into the residence.
Found deceased in the home were 78-year-old Kenneth Whitlock and his wife, 75-year-old Linda Whitlock. The preliminary autopsy results indicate that Kenneth Whitlock killed his wife before committing suicide.
The manner of the death has not been released.
