A Leitchfield man has crashed into a utility pole in a DUI wreck.

Friday night just before midnight, Leitchfield Police Officers Ty Whitaker, Chuck Hoover and Wally Ritter, Grayson County Deputy Sean Fentress, the Leitchfield Fire Department and EMS responded to the crash at the intersection of Kiper Drive and Oller Street.

Upon arriving at the scene, police found that a Chevrolet Tahoe, being driven by 71-year-old Kenneth Clark, was traveling south on Lilac Road when he ran the stop sign at Brandenburg Road before driving onto Oller Street, according to police. He then left the road and struck a utility pole.

Clark was transported by EMS to Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Medical Center. He remained overnight at the hospital and was cited for DUI, criminal mischief and failure to wear a seat belt.
