A Clarkson man has been charged with murder in Bullitt County.
The Shepherdsville Police Department arrested 44-year-old Thomas J. Coy Jr., Friday morning at approximately 10:30 and charged him with murder and first-degree wanton endangerment, according to media reports.
The incident began when Coy was parked at City Liquors at 262 North Buckman Street at 7:20 Friday morning when a vehicle pulled up next to him. Coy is accused of then shooting multiple times into the vehicle. The driver, who was shot several times, was transported to University of Louisville Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Coy, according to news outlets, admitted to the shooting.
He was lodged in the Bullitt County Detention Center.
Neither the name of the victim nor a motive for the crime have been released.
