Gary Lee Logsdon, age 68, of Sinks Road in Caneyville, passed away October 31, 2023, at Vanderbilt University Medical in Nashville, Tennessee.

He was born on July 15, 1955, in Clarkson, the son of the late Aud and Odline Powell Logsdon.

Gary was a man with strong faith in God who saved at the age of 12 at Claggett United Baptist Church and baptized in Stoy Hayes’s creek. He was a member of the First General Baptist Church of Leitchfield.

Gary retired as Grayson County Judge/Executive in 2017 with 24 years in office. He truly loved people, serving others and helping his community. Prior to that, he worked for Peter’s Construction, Larry Logsdon Concrete and the Grayson County Road Department.

He had a zest for life, was always working on something and enjoyed collecting antiques, tinkering with classic cars, horses, camping, and spending time on the lake. He loved his family, had a giving heart and loved a good meal.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Nona Kay Woodcock Logsdon: a daughter, Natilea (Mark) Boyd of Hodgenville, KY a son, Gavin (Audrey) Logsdon of Jeffersonville, IN; and a granddaughter whom he absolutely adored, Landry Kate Logsdon of Jeffersonville, IN. One brother, Jimmy (Helen) Logsdon of Cecilia, KY; sisters, Alma Dale Tomes of Morgantown, KY, Sue Edwards of Falls of Rough, KY, and Barbara Mahurin of Falls of Rough, KY; sister-in-law, Cheryl Logsdon of Leitchfield, KY; along with several nieces and nephews that he loved dearly, also survive.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin brother, Larry Logsdon of Leitchfield, brother, Herschel Logsdon of Edmonton; and sisters, Jeraldine Logsdon and Evelyn Logsdon, both of Leitchfield.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 5, 2023 at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Chester Shartzer will be officiating. Burial will be in the Logsdon Family Cemetery on Highway 54 at the Cars on the Pole.

Visitation will be at Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 4, 2023, and from 9:00 a.m. on Sunday until time of services.
