A couple was killed Tuesday when they exited their car after hitting a deer in Allen County.
Kentucky State Police responded to the accident Tuesday morning at approximately 5:00 in the 5500 block of Veteran’s Memorial Highway.
The preliminary investigation, state police said, showed that 53-year-old Jose Alfaro, of Bowling Green, was driving a Toyota Camry south on Veteran’s Memorial Highway when he struck a deer.
Alfaro and his wife, 49-year-old Ana Alfaro, exited their vehicle and were standing in the road when a Chevrolet Silverado, being driven by 26-year-old Javier Portillo, also of Bowling Green, struck the couple and their car.
They were pronounced deceased at the scene by the Allen Co. Coroner’s Office.
