Larry C. Sturgeon, age 79, of Leitchfield, passed away, Sunday, October 29, 2023, at Indian Creek Healthcare Center in Corydon, Indiana.
He was born February 9, 1944, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Carnel and Nellie Marie Bogard Sturgeon. He was a sixteen-year veteran of the United States Marine Corp, and a retired Maintenance Civil Service employee at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. He was a lifetime member of the Disabled America Veterans, and a member of the Unity Pentecostal Apostolic Church.
In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Cripps Sturgeon; and a sister, Ann Potts.
Larry is survived by one daughter, Tina Marie Johnson (John) of Russellville; three sons, Larry Allan Sturgeon (Erin) of Bowling Green, Charles David House (Sonya) of Palmer, AK, and Edgar Lee House, of Hamstead, MD; a brother, Richie Sturgeon; twelve grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 11 AM (CDT), Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Hazelwood Cemetery with Bro. Harold Decker officiating.
Rogers Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
