Police in Daviess County seized nearly 25 ounces of methamphetamine, over four ounces of cocaine, heroin, fentanyl, a vehicle and a large amount of cash during the execution of a search warrant.
The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office executed the warrant in the 600 block of West Highland Avenue on Tuesday afternoon at approximately 2:00 as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.
During a search of the home, deputies discovered approximately 24.7 ounces (694 grams) of methamphetamine, 4.4 ounces (122 grams) of cocaine, 2.3 ounces of (65 grams) of fentanyl, one gram of heroin, a handgun, and over $6,000 in cash in addition to drug trafficking paraphernalia. Deputies also seized a Chrysler 300 vehicle.
The drugs, police said, were stored underneath a two-year-old child’s bed.
Deputies arrested 28-year-old Tiana Finch and 38-year-old Cornelius Harris, both of Owensboro.
Finch was charged with four counts of trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin, fentanyl), and first-degree wanton endangerment. Harris was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine). The charges are enhanced due to the presence of a firearm.
Both suspects were lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center. Harris is no longer listed as an inmate.
