A Hardin County man is facing over 75 child porn and child sex abuse charges.
The Radcliff Police Department arrested 36-year-old Jonathon T. Poynter, of Radcliff, when he was found to be in possession of 53 videos containing child sex performances, according to The News-Enterprise.
The videos contained 10 victims believed to be younger than 12.
While being questioned, Poynter admitted that he filmed the videos.
Poynter was recently indicted by a Hardin County Grand Jury charging him with 24 counts of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor, 29 counts of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor (victim younger than 12), 22 counts of promoting a minor in a sexual performance (victim younger than 16), and two counts of first-degree sexual abuse (victim younger than 12).
Poynter is lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center on a $250,000 cash bond.
Radcliff Police Department Det. Kenny Mattingly told The News-Enterprise that his agency continues to investigate Poynter and that law enforcement agencies in Iowa are also investigating the suspect’s activities in that state.
