Law enforcement in Grayson County is asking the community to recommend children/families who would benefit from the 2023 Shop with a Cop Christmas program.
“The Grayson County Sheriff’s Office and the Leitchfield Police Department are currently taking recommendations for the 2023 Shop with a Cop program which is funded through the ‘Behind the Badge’ project,” Sheriff Norman Chaffins said.
Chaffins added that “if your children shopped with us last year, we ask that you use the ‘Angel Tree’ or other Christmas programs by contacting your child’s Family Resource Center.”
The sheriff said he would like to “open it up for families” who did not participate in the program last year “in order to give the kids a different experience.”
Anyone who knows a family that would benefit from this program is asked to contact the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office at 270-259-3024 and ask to speak with Heather or Mandy.
Normally, Shop with a Cop takes place during the second week of December. An exact day and time for this year’s event will be announced at a later date.
