The Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) and other law enforcement agencies seized cocaine worth over $1.5 million in Valley Station.
“Recently, a joint investigation involving LMPD and several other agencies resulted in this massive seizure. … 52 kilos (114.4 pounds) of cocaine worth an estimated street value of $1.56 million,” the Louisville Metro Police Department said in a social media post.
Additionally, $223,000 cash was seized from the same, unidentified location in Valley Station.
“We can’t talk too much about this on-going investigation, however, great work is being done,” LMPD said.
Also involved in the investigation and seizure were the DEA, Jeffersontown Police Department and Jeffersonville (IN) Police Department.
No other information was released.
