A deputy jailer in Daviess County is being hailed as a hero.
Daviess County Jailer Arthur Maglinger recognized Deputy Jailer Cody Hall for intervening in a suicide attempt by an inmate on Sunday.
“He and other staff performed lifesaving efforts to help the inmate recover,” Maglinger said in a social media post.
The inmate was later medically cleared and returned to the facility.
“Deputy Hall is commended for his prompt and alert actions, which contributed to saving a human life,” Maglinger said.
