2 arrested in death of Taylorsville woman in house fire

Two people have been arrested in the murder of a Taylorsville woman.

On the afternoon of May 29, Kentucky State Police opened a death investigation after human remains were discovered following a Spencer County residential fire.

The fire, on Chatman Lane, about four miles north of Taylorsville, resulted in the death of 35-year-old Christiana Walker. After an autopsy, her death was ruled a homicide.

Kentucky State Police along with the Cincinnati Police Department executed several search warrants in Cincinnati which resulted in the arrest of two suspects: 22-year-old Kimberly Walton and 39-year-old Edet Wettee, both of Cincinnati, according to a report by WKYT.com. They have both been charged with murder.

The suspects are currently being held in Cincinnati as they await extradition to Kentucky.

The investigation is ongoing.
