A central Kentucky man has been jailed after raping a teenager he was supposed to be taking to church.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office arrested 25-year-old Deavon R. Eastman and charged him with first-degree rape, unlawful transaction with a minor (illegal sex act, victim under 18) and menacing.

The investigation, according to a report by WDRB.com, showed that Eastman was given permission by the parents of a 16-year-old girl to take her to church. Instead, Eastman took the teenager to his home on Camp Pleasant Road near Frankfort and allegedly raped her.

When the girl resisted, he threatened to kill her.

While en route to jail, Eastman began mumbling. When the deputy asked what he said, Eastman responded, according to the arrest citation, that he “thought about slipping his cuffs and grabbing the detective’s pistol like John Wick,” the Louisville television station reports.

The suspect was lodged in the Franklin County Detention Center.
