A central Kentucky woman has been jailed after twice using a stun gun on her small child.

The Frankfort Police Department arrested 26-year-old Mary Cirillo, of Frankfort, and charged her with first-degree criminal abuse (victim under the age of 12).

Cirillo is accused of allowing her boyfriend to use a Sabre S-1005 stun gun on her six-year-old boy after he became upset because he wanted strawberry milk. Cirillo previously used the stun gun on the child’s left arm “causing pain and torture,” the arrest citation states, according to The State Journal.

The suspect, the citation states, admitted to being under the influence of methamphetamine while either allowing the use or using the stun gun on her son.

The weapon produces up to 600,000 volts and is considered one of the strongest stun guns on the market.

She was lodged in the Franklin County Detention Center on a $20,000 cash bond.
