The body of an Owensboro man has been pulled from the Ohio River following an apparent boating mishap.
The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office said a group of people were sitting at a picnic table near the Little Hurricane Boat Ramp Monday afternoon at approximately 4:45 when they noticed a boat in the water with no one inside.
Police were notified with deputies and other first responders arriving at the scene. Officials found several personal items belonging to 72-year-old Urban M. Wink floating in the water.
The search effort yielded Wink’s body at about 6:30 Monday night.
