Police continue to search for a missing Pulaski County man with a cognitive disorder.
The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office said 32-year-old Joshua Sims is a danger to himself and others and is a ward of the state. His cognitive disorder adversely affects Sims’ impulse control, according to police. Law enforcement said he has not hurt anyone but his previous caretakers are concerned he could.
He walked away from his home Monday morning and was last seen at the US 461 Foodmart in Mt. Vernon in Rockcastle County. He was wearing a white sleeveless t-shirt, black cap and cargo shorts.
A Golden Alert has been issued.
If spotted, police warn to not approach Sims, but instead contact Kentucky State Police at 606-878-6622 or your local law enforcement.
