Hodgenville woman killed in DUI crash. Green Co. man charged with murder.

A Green County man has been arrested after a DUI crash killed a Hodgenville woman and injured five people.

Kentucky State Police responded to the wreck Saturday morning just before 2:00 at the intersection of Hwy 61 and Hwy 323 in Green County. The initial investigation, state police said, showed 22-year-old Daniel Sidebottom, of Green County, was traveling south on Hwy 323 when he ran a stop sign and hit a minivan containing six people, and being driven by 63-year-old Ronald Durfee, of Hodgenville.

A passenger in the minivan, 63-year-old Sandra Durfee, was airlifted to University of Louisville Hospital where she was pronounced deceased.

Ronald Durfee and four of his passengers were transported to a hospital by EMS.

Sidebottom was arrested and charged with murder, DUI, two counts of first-degree assault, three counts of second-degree assault, and disregarding a stop sign. He was lodged in the Taylor County Detention Center.
