A Clarkson woman has been arrested on drug charges after being spotted driving recklessly on Anneta Road.
Tuesday night at approximately 6:00, Grayson County Deputy Sean Fentress observed a southbound Buick Verano driving erratically in the 8900 block of Anneta Road, as the vehicle crossed the center line and into the northbound lane twice within a tenth of a mile, according to the arrest citation.
Fentress executed a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, 53-year-old Charlotte Richardson, who told the deputy that “she was sleepy after driving from Louisville,” the citation says.
Fentress, while sitting in his patrol vehicle checking her information, saw Richardson “moving her right arm in between the seats,” the citation states.
He then asked for and received consent to search the vehicle, where Fentress found several methamphetamine pipes in various locations around the vehicle. The deputy also, according to the citation, discovered methamphetamine inside a piece of jewelry.
Richardson was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), reckless driving, possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to wear a seat belt. She was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.
