Taylor Co. man indicted for using toddler to make child porn

A Taylor County man has been federally indicted after being accused of using a toddler under two-years-old to produce child pornography.

A federal grand jury in Bowling Green returned an indictment on Wednesday charging Robert Blake Merryman, 26, of Campbellsville, with producing, distributing, and possessing child pornography, according to Michael A. Bennett, U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Kentucky.

According to the indictment, on April 6, 2023, “Merryman used a minor male under two years of age to engage in sexually explicit conduct for the purpose of producing a visual depiction of such conduct, and the visual depiction was transmitted in interstate commerce by computer,” prosecutors said.

If convicted, Merryman faces a maximum sentence of 70 years in prison.

He as arrested by the FBI on April 7, 2023, and lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail.
