Police in Hardin County found over 20 dead dogs at a Radcliff home.
The Radcliff Police Department on Friday arrested 26-year-old Morgan J. Barrick and charged her with 35 counts of second-degree animal cruelty after officers found 21 dead dogs and 35 dogs, including 12 puppies, suffering from malnutrition, according to a report by The News-Enterprise.
Nineteen of the dead dogs were found inside Barrick’s home, while two were in a van that is registered to the suspect.
Several carcasses were also found on the property and are not included in the 21 dogs found deceased.
Hardin County Animal Care and Control took possession of the animals found alive.
Barrick, who apparently boarded animals, is also facing charges following the death of a dog left in her care in February 2022.
Second-degree cruelty to animals is a class A misdemeanor.
Barrick was lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center but has since been released on a $2,500 bond.
