A driver escaped injury after being forced into the median of the Western Kentucky Parkway and losing control of the vehicle.

Wednesday night at approximately 10:20, Grayson County Deputies Tim Jackson, Justin Cockerel and Wally Ritter, the Leitchfield Fire Department and EMS responded to the wreck at the 102-mile marker of the westbound parkway.

Upon arriving at the scene, police found that a BMW passenger car, being driven by a Frankfort man, had been traveling east when the driver passed a vehicle. The driver said that as he was passing the car, a tractor-trailer began to enter the left lane, forcing the BMW into the median where the driver lost control, resulting in the front end of the BMW suffering severe damage and tossing debris from the vehicle and median onto the westbound lanes.

The BMW then entered the westbound lanes before coming to a stop on the westbound shoulder.

The driver was uninjured. He was returning home from a work trip to Arkansas.
