A Clarkson fugitive who absconded from parole and with nearly a dozen arrest warrants has been collared by the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office.
On Sunday afternoon, the sheriff’s office developed information that the suspect, 28-year-old Jason K. Lee, was in the vicinity of Kirby’s Corner (the intersection of Shrewsbury Road and Sadler Road).
Deputies Justin Cockerel and Jordan Jones made their way to the area and made contact with Lee, who fought with police, resulting in the suspect being tazed.
He was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center where he’s facing several charges, including second-degree burglary, possession of stolen mail, theft of mail matter, persistent felony offender, fleeing or evading police (on foot), resisting arrest, theft by unlawful taking, and theft-receipt of a stolen credit card among other counts.
Lee, in April 2019, was arrested by Clarkson Police Chief Buck Meredith and Officer Blake Elmore at a residence on Old Leitchfield Road. He was listed as one of Grayson County’s Most Wanted for multiple charges, including criminal possession of a forged instrument, possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), criminal trespassing, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
In October 2019, Lee was arrested by the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office after he ran on foot from a traffic stop in the 6900 block of Millerstown Road. He was served with a failure to appear warrant and faced additional charges of trafficking in marijuana, fleeing or evading police (on foot), resisting arrest, giving an officer a false name, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to the Kentucky Department of Corrections, Lee was convicted in Grayson County in December 2021 of first-degree unlawful access to a computer, theft by unlawful taking, theft by unlawful taking from an automobile, and first-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument.
He has also been convicted for possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He is on probation until September 2026.
