A Breckinridge County man arrested in a triple-murder last week has been indicted on three counts of murder.
A Breckinridge County Grand Jury, according to WXBC.com, indicted 28-year-old Tyler Wehmeyer in the bludgeoning deaths of 77-year-old Audrey Whealan and her daughter, 51-year-old Michelle Whealan, and 58-year-old Doss Smothers.
He was also indicted on two counts of second-degree cruelty to animals for killing two dogs during his rampage.
Both female victims were found beaten to death inside the home, while Smothers was found, also the victim of blunt force trauma, outside the residence. All three victims were from Breckinridge County, state police said.
Authorities arrested Wehmeyer at an unknown location.
He was lodged in the Breckinridge County Detention Center.
The fact that Wehmeyer allegedly killed three people makes the case death penalty eligible, according to Kentucky Revised Statute 532.025.
Wehmeyer was arrested in Breckinridge County in October 2018 and charged with fourth-degree assault, according to online records.
