A Webster County man has been jailed after threatening to “shoot up” a place of business.

On Friday, Kentucky State Police responded to Scott Manufacturing in Sebree after the business was placed on lockdown following threats made by 33-year-old Jordan R. Abel, of Sebree.

State police said Abel sent death threats to an employee of the company and “threatened to shoot up the place of business.”

The suspect was located and arrested in Owensboro. He was charged with 27 counts of third-degree terroristic threatening.

Abel was lodged in the Webster County Jail on a $10,000 cash bond.
