A Madisonville husband and wife are dead after a murder-suicide.
The Madisonville Police Department was dispatched Thursday night to a residence on Echo Lane where officers found Donald W. Hundley, 62, and his wife, Jayne M. Hundley, 63, deceased, according to multiple media reports. Jayne Hundley had suffered two gunshot wounds, while Donald Hundley was shot once.
Police said it appears Jayne Hundley discovered the couple was having financial problems, resulting in Donald Hundley shooting his wife before turning the gun on himself.
Jayne Hundley was Senior VP of Marketing at First United Bank and Adjunct Professor at Madisonville Community College, according to her obituary. She was previously recognized as Lions Club Woman of the Year and Nike Business Professional Woman of the Year.
